About the event
We'd like to invite you to a networking and silent auction fundraising event for STEM Unity at the University of Calgary on Thursday, March 27th in the Last Defence Lounge from 5-9 PM. STEM Unity is a university-wide program that offers resources, mentorship, and hands-on research experience for equity-deserving undergraduate STEM students – including those who identify as women, persons with disabilities, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or people of colour), first-generation students, low-income, neurodiverse, and 2SLGBTQ+).
With a successful Giving Day fundraiser and STEM Unity Experience in 2024, this year, the UCalgary Faculty of Science and Department of Chemistry have endorsed STEM Unity as a featured fund in the upcoming Giving Day campaign, which runs from April 2 to April 16. During this time, individual donations will be matched up to $2,500 while funds last. Matching funds disappear fast, which is why we are hosting this event in advance and are asking for your support in maximizing the impact of this important program. We will be hosting a silent auction as part of the fundraising and accepting cheques and pledges for monetary donations at our STEM Unity Networking & Silent Auction Night. Come along for…
